Representative Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) issued the following statement after Governor Pritzker’s State of the State and Budget Address.
“Today I listened to the Governor’s budget address and reflected afterwards with thoughtful consideration. I heard statements that I agree with, and I heard statements that I do not. I am disappointed though, that there are no real budgetary reforms that result in permanent tax cuts, but only election year gimmicks. I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues across the aisle to engineer real change that helps make Illinois a place where people want to live and not leave.”
