State Representative Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) has chosen to highlight D’s Treats and Ice Cream, located at 102 3rd Street, Bloomingdale as his small business of the month.
This week, Rep. Lewis presented owner Deala Torres with an official certificate recognizing her service to the community! Deala opened her store six years ago and has been satisfying the sweet tooth of everyone in Bloomingdale ever since. She works extremely hard to provide the best service to all of her customers, working closely with them to create the dessert of their dreams! Among D’s Treats’ specialties are Cake Pops, Parfaits, Macaroons, Cakes, and Sweets Tables. Because of her location in Old Town, you will find Deala and D’s Treats staff at many Old Town events.
“D’s Treats and Ice Cream is a wonderful shop that adds a great deal of value to Old Town,” said Lewis. “It’s wonderful to see hard working business owners succeed, and Deala and her staff are an excellent example of that. I am pleased to have this store be a part of the larger 45th District and encourage our local residents to stop by and see it for themselves!”
“We are a small family owned business and we’ve been around for right around 6 years now,” said Deala. “We work so hard to perfect these creations for our customers, so we are very grateful to be receiving this recognition. We are excited for what the future holds!”
The Representative will to continue to honor one local business a month; if you know of a business you would like to nominate, contact his district office at (630) 349 – 0645.
