State Representative Seth Lewis proudly represents the 45th House District, which includes all or portions of Addison, Bartlett, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Hanover Park, Itasca, Roselle, West Chicago, and Wood Dale in DuPage and Cook Counties. He and his wife Bhavna live in Bartlett and have two adult children.

Seth grew up in a family where strong morals, integrity, volunteerism, and public service were instilled as core family values, and he brings that foundation to his role as a state legislator.

Seth knows firsthand how the current business climate in Illinois hinders job creation and stifles the entrepreneurial spirit. Upon earning a degree in manufacturing engineering from the University of Iowa and eventually becoming the vice president of operations for a small manufacturing business in Melrose Park, IL, he watched the Illinois business environment deteriorate to a point where he felt the need to completely change his career path. He has now been an independent business owner and agent with State Farm Insurance for over a decade. This personal story provides the Representative with great motivation to push public policy that will improve Illinois’ business climate and allow job creators to thrive.

In addition to promoting a pro-growth economic agenda, Seth will be a strong voice in Springfield for ethics reform, financial responsibility, balanced budgets, and government transparency. He values bipartisanship.

In addition to his work in the General Assembly, Seth is an active community leader and was very involved with coaching youth sports as his boys grew up in Bartlett. He has coached baseball, football, and basketball, and is a past president of Bartlett’s Little League and a former trustee to the Bartlett Fire Protection District. Outside of work, Seth enjoys playing golf, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
